A few days ago Marshall introduced these new headphones. The name is Major Brown.
The headphones themselves aren’t “new”, it’s the result of three years of designing.
Until now they have only been available in black, white or pitch black. But finally they stumbled upon this beautiful brown colour. The design is no accident. It’s not just a decision they made based on taste and what looks good. The colour is a tribute to famous amplifiers from the 70’s and that is the reason they look fantastic!
- Fully collapsable design
- Soft ear cushions
- Mic and remote
- 20Hz~20kHz frequency response
- Ridiculously good looking
“The Marshall Major headphones offer an aesthetic appeal that is uniquely Marshall and bring with that look a very live sound that we think many listeners will appreciate.” Digital Trends
The only negative thing reviewers agree on is that they become uncomfortable after a few hours of use. The vinyl ear pads retain heat making them uncomfortable if you plan on using them for the whole day.
The thing we like most about them is that they have a more “live” sound than other headphones. It’s not artificial, it’s just real sound. In our opinion that is what more headphone producers need to work on instead of squeezing out more bass.
There are enough headphones on the market that manipulate sound, but if you are looking for good looking, well built headphones with real sound. Major Brown is most likely your answer.
